1984 Porsche 911 Carrera Turbo-Look (M491), Ruby Red/Black, 30,130 miles – SOLD

1984 Porsche 911 Carrera Turbo-Look (M491), Ruby Red/Black, 30,130 miles – SOLD

In 1984 Porsche Cars North America sold 423 Carrera’s equipped with the M491 Supersport Equipment option, commonly known as Turbo-Look or Turbo-Body; this car is one of them, and a near-perfect, ultra-low mileage, one-owner example at that. The $10,000+ M491 option makes the car easily distinguishable from standard 911 Carrera’s by the beautiful, aggressive flares and spoilers previously reserved for the Turbo (or worse, the aftermarket). M491 cars also feature the Turbo’s huge 917-derived brakes, all the Turbo/930-specific suspension components (pick-up points/geometry, larger sway bars, torsion bars, tie-rods and trailing arms), and 16×7/8″ Fuchs alloys (fully polished in the case of this car).

Time has proven the M491 optioned Porsche 911′s, which marry the stunning curves of the iconic Turbo with the flexible, bulletproof running gear of the 3.2 Carrera, to be amongst the most desirable of this storied era of 911′s.

With just 30,130 documented miles, this car is 100-percent factory stock (it has been professionally lowered to the European ride height God – and Dr. Porsche – intended, and aligned and bump-steer corrected accordingly by CS Motorsports). The car has never been in an accident nor has it had any paintwork. The Ruby Red Metallic (810) paint is original and as perfect as possible for a 25 year-old car that’s only traveled 30,000 miles; the same can be said of the black leather interior.

The factory option decal is intact and this particular 1984 Porsche 911 is equipped with the following desirable factory options: Limited-Slip Differential (220), Sport Seats (409), black headliner (469), raised hub steering wheel (018), and of course the Turbo-Look package (491).

Everything works and all service is up-to-date; we just treated the car to its 30,000 mile service which included a valve adjustment, new distributor cap, rotor, plugs, wires, air and fuel filters, valve cover gaskets, all new drive belts, and fresh fluids in the engine, transmission and brake system (CS Motorsports – 262/257-0678). The left camshaft oil line was also just replaced so the Brad Penn oil will stay in the engine rather than on your garage floor. Brand new Bridgestone Pole Positions all around. This car needs absolutely nothing but a proud new owner.
